I had the pleasure of shooting Michael’s 3 month old photos. I am friends with his lovely mommy and daddy, Theresa and Mike Friedl. While I was there I was able to get a few shots of their dog Reece. He and little Michael are best buds according to Theresa. Reece was so funny he kept trying to get in all the photos and climb up on the bed. I have a few more shoots with Michael, as Theresa has us coming until he is 1 year old. Hopefully, when he is a little older and sitting up by himself we can get some of him and his best bud Reece. Check out some of Michaels 3 month photos.
Okay so since I have been doing things little by little… I finally got my business card designed and ordered. It’s only taken me forever I know! I have been putting it off so long but it’s official they ARE ORDERED! WHEW HOO!! So I only ordered 20 to test and see how they turn out first before I go ordering a ton! It would be just my luck I order a ton and some how half my photo gets cut off or my email or something. But any who, Here is what I designed.. THOUGHTS?!?
Okay, So I know this is probably totally dorky but I am SOOO Excited… I just ordered my WEBSITE!! Finally! I mean I love my blog and all but I was really in need of an actual site too. It won’t be up right away as its going to take me sometime to set it up and to my likings, but I am so stoked! Once it’s all set and ready to go I will let everyone know. I am going to have this web address point to my new website and have a new address for my blog so be on the look out… I am guessing it will be all set and ready to go live in a few weeks, defiantly before the end of July. Hope you all like it once it’s done! (fingers crossed)
Cody is a 2010 graduate from North Royalton High School that I had the pleasure of shooting senior portraits for. He heard of me through Diamond Dance studio, who we shoot for as well. One of his younger sisters dances there, and the owner Alison had referred him over to us. He was very quiet and laid back at the beginning. However with his Mom and other younger sister, the wardrobe stylist, he was smiling and having fun in no time. Congratulations Cody, Good Luck!! Check out some of his photos.
So Tonight I was filming a Dance Show for Diamond Dance and when I left, WHAT A SIGHT! I immediately grabbed my point and shoot (that is ALWAYS in my bag). I am sure people were probably staring at me wondering what the heck I was doing but I didn’t care. I just couldn’t pass up the chance to capture some of these amazing clouds. I did not edit any of them I just made them web size. This is exactly what they looked like. Take a look and see and you’ll know how I couldn’t say no! SOOO B-E-A-utiful!!
So anyways… I just had to post these. If I ever come across things that are just TOO FUNNY if I have a camera or trusty droid I try to capture it. Here are just a few of the oh so funny signs that just “happen” to be around Cleveland. I’ll post more as I see them.
This photo was taken a few weeks ago while I was at a Salon for Cassie and Frank’s Wedding (I’ll post it soon). I just couldn’t help myself. A parent’s worst nightmare!!!
These two were both obviously taken with my Droid. This first one is for those of us who know what road they are referring to. Who just omits a letter when shortening a word… Really?? Someone needs to go back to school and learn how to spell!
Now the other one was too funny. The guy was laughing at me. So I went to take my boyfriends car in to a repair shop and this is what they had sitting on the counter as soon as you walked in. After I was done talking to the guy at the shop I said.. I gotta take a pic of this its just to funny, do you mind? This is when he just started laughing at me. Although, you have to admit… If you could, you would totally have that as your complaint depart. wouldn’t you??
Sarah and John’s Wedding was suppose to be the first outdoor wedding of the season. Unfortunately thanks to the Lovely crazy unpredictable Ohio weather it started to down pour about a half hour before the ceremony. Thanks to the staff at Sun Valley they were able to get everything together inside while still making it look beautiful. Luckily we were still able to take some photos outside when the weather broke. Check out a few shots from Sarah and John’s Wedding. (more…)
Hello my fellow blog followers… It still feels weird to think that people actually follow me… So I have decided that I needed to revamp the site, logo, and well just pretty much everything. Out with the old in with the new! I have been working on figuring out a way to brand myself recently. I needed something that was “ME”. Something that I could do that would be recognizable, and remembered. So this is what I came up with. My logo if you haven’t already noticed by the site… (ha ha ha its only EVERYWHERE! ) is going to be this
as for my actually company name logo I wanted a font that was unlike anyone else. I didn’t want some boring san serif font, or a girly and curly, I wanted to do something that would stand out to everyone. So here is what I came up with
So all your thought??? I even created a action so I can start to watermark my photos with my company. All the “PROS” do it and well since that is my goal one day to truly call myself a “PRO” and hang with the big boys this is what I have come up with… one for verticals and one for horizontals.
I would LOVE LOVE to hear everyone’s thoughts?!! ??
May 13, 2010 - 7:02 pmKayla - I love it!! It looks amazing :) and I adore the watermark!
May 14, 2010 - 8:53 amSarah Panella - Thanks.. I have been working hard to come up with something that truly reflected me and looked professional. I really appreciate your thoughts!
May 14, 2010 - 5:23 pmCaitlin - I Like it :) not too girly, not too rough. it is elegant with edge!

Whitney and Anthony were the first wedding of 2010 and let me tell you what a way to start off 2010! They were awesome. Jay knew Anthony from his high school days at Brecksville, so it was more than a pleasure to assist at the wedding. I did the video for their wedding while Jay and Kayla did the photos. Whitney and Anthony were great the whole day. I didn’t get to go down to E4 or downtown with them but the wedding and reception were awesome!! They were a total blast, as was the whole bridal party. Check out a short trailer from their absolutely beautiful wedding.
Okay so recently since the photo workshops in Cali, I have been doing alot of thinking about my logo, name and branding myself. The current logo and such I made myself and well am not a huge fan of… something more or less to just get me by since I just started up the bis at the beginning of this year. So since wedding season is fastly approaching I have been seriously considering getting a new logo. I will still keep my name the same but get rid of the curly, girly text, and the ugly boxes… I think am going to change my colors too! Maybe something more along the lines of a turquoise and brown.. more subtle than my bright colors now. Any thoughts? I saw a design I really like, kinda along the lines of a Henry Chen design. (he is an awesome photog) Any ideas on what I should change or the best way to “brand” myself? Feel free to drop me a comment.
